Born in a desert city with the dream of the Olympics, Forough found her destiny in the opposite geography of her birthplace — the cold and snowy world of winter sport.
From the first day she learned to walk, skiing became part of her life. Day by day, the love for snow, racing, and speed grew stronger.
Rock climbing, skating, horseback riding, mountain climbing, cycling, and snowboarding shaped a multi-sport athlete with confidence, balance, and courage.
Since childhood, she participated in provincial and national ski competitions, earning several provincial medals and one national gold medal in the youth category.
The first sport she trained in professionally was rock climbing. After a national third-place finish, she was invited to the national team’s preliminary camp.
As one of Iran’s leading youth mountain bikers, she was selected as the first Iranian girl to compete in the Asian Mountain Biking Championships in China in 2011, where she earned fourth place.
After her mountain biking success, she joined the national road cycling camp and represented Iran at Asian Cup competitions in Thailand.
After three months of training with the national youth ski team, she won two gold medals and one silver medal at the Asian Youth Ski Championships.
Forough focused all her energy on skiing as a professional athlete, training with a clear goal: to compete in the Olympic Games.
International medals in Turkey, FIS podiums in Iran, and success in Lebanon contributed to securing her Olympic qualification.
She qualified for slalom at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia and reached the biggest stage in winter sports.
After the Olympic Games, she continued her path with gold and bronze medals at the 2017 Asian Championship.
Her international sporting journey continued through participation in the Universiade winter competitions.
She added further international medals to her record through silver and bronze finishes in Turkish FIS competitions.
Participation at the Sapporo Asian Championship represented another milestone on the Asian winter sports stage.

Forough earned a quota for her second Winter Olympic Games, strengthening her position in the history of Iranian winter sport.
